Would You Like To Get Away From This World?

i am sure that many if not all malaysians are familliar with Hospital Bahagia, the mental institution located in Tanjung Rambutan. in fact we always use this place in jest, if a friend acts a little goofy and crazy, you would volunteer to call tanjung rambutan for them! 0_o

recently, my mom, through a womens body, PUSPANITA, paid a visit to tanjung rambutan. (i have no idea why they had to there though. preparation for their entry? :D)

apparently the area is huge, about 544 hectares. the place is well kept and the "disturbed" are seperated by gender and the severeness of their condition. i hear the have 1st class and second class too.

some short facts about Hospital Bahagia, Tanjung Rambutan.

  • the inmates has six meals a day. the meals are not as bad as you think.
  • the not so seriously "disturbed" patients are allowed to work. they actually work as guard, nurses and attendants to other inmates. they get to wear a cool green uniform with badges to indicate their position and receive wages.
  • they have television in all the large recreational rooms and even suscribes to astro too!
  • they are allowed to garden and eventually bring their produce outside of the hospital to sell. dont try to cheat them when you are buying the fruits or vegetables there ok? apparently the fruits and vegetables are better than usual. maybe because they have the time and love to spend with the plants?
  • the most special moment the staff experienced is when S fell in love with Y and decided to get married! many of the inmates and staff got caught up in the excitement and did their best to decorate and ready the hall at the hospital for the wedding. imagine, there are almost 2000 inmates there plus the family, friends and relatives of the happy couple. it will be a grand and merry wedding indeed. imagine the festive and happy atmosphere..
  • the staff and doctor are extremely close and friendly with the inmates. my moms friend had quite a fright when one of the patients casually looped his arm around a doctor. scared he will strangle the doctor? :P
  • there are libraries and inmates can learn new skills so that when they are cured, they can support themselves.
  • there are fun and recreational activities too. the inmates get to go for outings sometimes.
  • special occasions and festivals are celebrated with special foods and lovingly rehearsed performances by both inmates and staff.

their lives dont seem that bad eh? they dont have to feel stressed or pressured. they dont worry about the condition of the world, money problems, love woes, studies, parental pressure, betrayal, problematic friends, dirty politicians, rude drivers, perverts....(add more)
probably people may say that they are running away from the realities of live.
but i was just seriously thinking, wont it be nice to live without trouble? even for one day?

an interesting bit...
~a number of the inmates were straight A scorers from various levels of school and university.

according to my mother, she had already booked room for me there. government servants can get cheaper rates! yay!
all i have to do now is just attend the meeting with the in-house psychologist to access the severity of my mental illness and i will be installed there.
finally i will be able to run free on the grass and dance under the rain without people thinking i am out of my mind. for they already know i am nuts.

do come and visit me or better, join me and let us have a merry time of it!
i promise i wont bite!

one more thing, dont you pity the people who studies at SK or SMK Tanjung Rambutan?
"wei, what school were you from ar?"
"i was from SK/SMK Tanjung Rambutan."
"har??............."
hehehehehehe

Christmas Eve

twas christmas eve and despite my pitiful pleas, i had no where to go and no special someones to spend the day with. it has been proven that the holiday season especially during christmas, suicide numbers are at their highest... silly you, dont worry, i am not going to commit suicide!
hehehe...

7pm
went to jusco metro prima to do some grocery shopping. playfully reprimanded dad when he became too blur. sometimes parents can become so childish and immature sometimes. cute! in anticipation of a long night ahead, i bought very cheap white grape sparkling juice and groundnuts.

9pm
moping a round the house. decides to rummage through old vcds to search for a good movie. ahah! home alone 2!! wahahahahahaha, really so funny. this movie shows kelvin lost in new york while his family is at florida. i really pity the two bad guys though. they were certainly put through a lot of grief that i couldnt help wincing at some scenes. during the movie, the wine glasses came out and filled to the brim with the before mentioned sparkling juice. with newspaper spread on the floor, groundnuts being cracked, and air-con on(to recreate the atmoshere of a cold winter wor) toasts were made!! coz other than it being christmas eve, christmas day is also my parents 24th anniversary! my dad jokes around on how he managed it and deserves a place in guiness book of records. he kena-ed punched bt mom. guffaw!!

boring story aside, i had a "romantic" christmas eve in front of the tv watching home alone2 with non-alcoholic juice, groundnuts and my parents for company. it may not be the most ideal and perfect scenario but i suppose it is much better than some other lonely souls out there...

12am
parents went to bed already. i stand at the my seventh floor balcony watching fireworks going off in the distance. merry christmas everyone!!!

much love, hope and kisses for everyone!
WORLD PEACE RULES!!

TERPERANGKAP

although i am on hols now, its supposed to be my study break for my second term exam. however i decided to take it easy for a couple of days you know. so i went searching for some old cds to watch when i stumbled upon 2 anime dvds of fushigi yuugi. the first contained episodes 1-19 and the second was labelled 20-38end. i thought, ok i guess i can finish this. and so i was trapped!

it was great and my night turned into day and vice versa. the animation was nice and storyline captivating(though a little annoying at times). so every thing was ok at first you know. until around episode 36....i had this really really dreadful feeling. not because it was ending, because it wasnt ending!!! episode 38, the supposed end, was actually the end of season 1! worse, cliffhanger......like an anime chracter, i fell upsidedown on the floor with my legs stucking up and numerous huge sweat symbols running dwn my head...

and so i am trapped and frantically searching for the remaining episodes so that i can finally rest in peace. hahaha. anyone who knows where to find episodes 39-52 of fushigi yuugi will forever be appreciated...:3 and whoever can get them for me, i am speechless with utter love abd devotion....hahahha.

sigh, so while i am still searching for it, i might as well go and study first. wish me the best of luck! and a merry christmas everyone. hope you will get whatever your lil heart desires....save me some candy?
btw, any plans for christmas day that has room for one more? ask me out!! (desperate to get out of house)

p/s: when you have the time and after exam etc, go and check out fushigi yuugi will ya? really funny aside from overly sickening romance scenes. you can really love the characters.

ok, ok, study beckons

Langkawi: Pulau Lagenda

i often feel guilty because i dont know much about malaysia. and i think that too many malaysians prefer to go overseas instead of travelling in malaysia. cant blame them though. some of the places i went, you cant find easily because of the lack of promotion and awareness. how are people going to go a place if they dont know what are the attractions there? some have the facilities but are left deserted. like my dad says...

"they set up everything nice and pretty for the ministers that attend the opening ceremony. after that, everything falls apart."

i think that is a real waste because malaysia truly has the potential. malaysia definitely has the charm and many places i went recently had me captivated and ended up burning a hole in my dads pocket. hehe, coz my camera uses AA batteries!

one of the many beautiful islands of malaysia, pulau langkawi..
sorry bout the few photos. these were taken by a few people coz i didnt have a camera then.

bed

first photo: taken in our room in aseania!! the room has 2 double beds and at rm 69 for two nights with 2 free breakfasts, its a steal!!! there were two rooms. first room housed charmaine and gary(her boyfriend), the naughty, cheeky lenfoong and taroniar,"the human" second room, me and suet mei, and michelle oh and brainiac diane!

mich 015 Resize of DSC00946
on the boat. see how prettily we are smiling? the ride was heavenly with splashes of seawater and an amazing seabreeze....

we took a island hopping package! first place, pantai beras basah! the sand so white and fine. pity there was some litter left behind by some irresponsible people though...we went banana boat-ing!!! so fun but didnt get any pics of that! got a very funny story about the banana boat...ask lenfoong!

all 8 of us on the trip at tasik dayang bunting. actually got some pictures of us swimming in the lake one. i have no idea where those pics are. swt! that place is seriously idyllic and quiet.

after going to tasik dayang bunting, the pak cik handling the boat took us to see eagles( some were huge!) and we saw some mousedeers too. gary said they were licking salt. think they will get high blood pressure if they lick too much? <",>

langkawi

these three beauties were taken at a small deserted island at the end of our island hopping. at first we were a little reluctant coz we were all so tired!! boy were we glad we got down from the boat. the view was amazing and the pak cik help us take the photos. while snapping away at the numerous cameras, he kept saying.."cantiknya, betul cantik!" he really knows how to stroke our ego! thank pak cik for taking these beautiful pictusres for us!

i feel a bit lazy dy... i straight skip to the next day when we go snorkelling ok? 1st we had to take a boat ride to pulau payar aka coral island.

blue power girls on the deck! there were many foreigners. not sure what nationality though. many of them looked so sunburnt till they resembled cooked lobsters but they dont seem to mind....

coralisland
ccouldnt take pictures underwater!! coz our cameras not waterproof. so only can have this pics by the beach. these fishies sure have a good life coz many ppl were feeding them! you probably cant tell from the pics but it is scary to be surrounded by fishes and the fishes bite!! eek!! so geli..

snorkelling is fun! it takes time to get use to the apparatus and breathing through your mouth, but after that, you can paddle and look at fishes all you want. i had scary experience though...i was cruising around with suetmei when i felt something long and slimy wrapped around my leg. i am embarassed to say i let out a tiny scream. next thing i knew, suetmei had swam far away and the long slimy thing was actually the belt of my lifejacket! evil suetmei! running away in my time of need!

i think one of the highlights of the trip for me was seeing sharks...
shark
yawn..looks boring eh?

and seeing a barracuda!!! i came home excited and told everyone i saw a barracuda. their reactions were disappointing. conclusion, they dont know what a barracuda is..
behold, the resident barracuda of pulau payar, mr mustafa( i kid you not! its really his name!) who lives under the jetty.
langkawi_mustafa_cuda
baracuda_g
if you still think its no big deal, you suck!! just imagine yourself, a virgin snorkeller iddling in the sea when you see mr mustafa cruising nearby....aargh! i almost screamed the first time i saw him. hehe, he very handsome eh? found his pic online.

overall, the trip was a huge success!! and i myself had tons of fun and got darker in the process. the best thing about being young is having the time to see the world(only nearby la, no money ler) cant wait for my next trip. any ideas on where to go?

open your eyes to the beauty everywhere.....

p/s: go visit places around malaysia when you have the time.

Me Lazy Gal

hehe, i am a very very lazy gal. hence the lack of posts for a long long time. even when i update its very short. :)

i found more genting pics!! i still havent found the one i like best which is a group photo of all of us in front of the flying coaster. anyone has it send to me!!!

this photo was taken in the cable car on the way up to the top! we sweet or not?

this one was taken after the flying coaster ride which was pretty disappointing. not scary also and the ride was like so short. cost us rm 10 somemore.

i had to use medim size pic for this coz if not, cannot see our happy faces. this nice shot was taken just minutes after entering the park. dont we all look so excited??
my goodness, i think i flash the peace sign too much. must stop doing it!

cant believe it has been four months since the genting trip....this just further reinforces how lazy i am. kekekkeke

tomorrow i am going to jusco metro prima with suet mei(who else??), poh choo, zatayumni and amalina! been ages since i saw them! bringing a camera to hopefully obtain some nice pics.

watched harry potty and the goblet of fire 2 weeks ago and the chronicles of narnia: the lion, the witch and the wardrobe today, the opening day!! i feel so let down. i think that reading the books and imagining how everything should be will definitely lead to a huge letdown when the story unfolds differently or the characters changed! small details kept niggling especially in the chronicles of narnia!! peter, susan and edmund were not that annoying in the book! aslan just lack ooomph!! like so tame only and i dont like his voice!! and...i especially disliked when they showed aslan coming out of the tent. i mean aslan is no tame animal! he is wild, what was he doing in the tent????!!! so mengeramkan!! and jadis is supposed to be beautiful and dark haired...i got many complains la ut i will just kuai kuai shut up ok?
